So the other day at the gym one of the TVs had a music video station playing with the closed captioning turned on, and I caught a glimpse of the lyrics to Soulja Boy's "Crank That (Soulja Boy)." Of course it's been stuck in my head ever since.

For those of you who are unfamiliar, this song is horribly catching and with the stupidest most nonsensical lyrics ever (except perhaps for the "drops of jupiter" song, which still wins for nonsensical lyrics). For example, the chorus (with some lyrics that I got online, some printed as they were shown on TV):

Somehow I get the feeling music like this is going to be one of those things we laugh at in 20 years, like Hammer pants or doing the "Kid 'n Play" (AKA the Funky Charleston, according to wikipedia).
