Well, getting an automatic email from Stanford telling me that their Dec. 2 deadline (I keep writing deadling) is in two weeks spurred me into action (as I decided not to apply to Stanford, but Brown's deadline is Dec. 1!!) and I now have given all my recommenders all my info.
I *was* going to spend this afternoon doing research. However, instead I ran around to the registrar and post office to get everything together, and just now got back and ran my other stuff down to Prof. Dodds's office. Now I'm going to get together all the info I need to request official transcripts, and then I'm going to make a last pass through my statement of purpose and start writing a version for each school, so I can actually submit my applications (I said in my instructions to profs that I would submit my apps Nov. 15, because some of them won't give the profs info until after I submit).
I still haven't heard back from the guy I worked with this summer about which email address I should use on apps for him. Hmmm . . . Well, I know he comes into his office on Fridays, and I just mailed him materials overnight mail, so hopefully he'll get everything and he'll be all set.
When I dropped off my stuff at Prof. Dodds's door, there were a bunch of envelopes there that I assume was him returning rec. letters to someone else. It made me feel like I'm sooooooo behind! :(
Anyway, hopefully I'll get everything finished up this week. No more big hum readings to do, and there's no Theocomp this weekend (whew), so hopefully this means I'll be able to enjoy the hum field trip and having a special anniversary celebration with Ben (though I still need to get him a present, which I guess will have to be done after my clinic meeting Friday).
In case I didn't post it before, and you all want to know, here's ( the list of grad schools I'm applying to (in order of deadline) )
Okay, time to get cracking on transcript requests, applications, and GRE score requests.
