So I worked on the theocomp some last night, in an effort to avoid doing hum reading.

The first problem was not hard, because it was basically the same as a proof we had done in class.

HOWEVER, it took me two hours and over three pages to write up. Damn! What the hell? I think that's the longest proof I've ever written. And at least part of it was proof by duh ("The string 'a' ends with the symbol 'a'").

I think I may have accidentally glossed over some points in there, but I think I wrote enough to get most of the credit on the problem. In other news, number 2 (except the last part which I haven't done yet) took me 15 minutes to write up.

Went to the Aquarium with Ben this morning, which was nice! I've been a total slacker this weekend. I'm planning on completely skimming the hum reading, since I don't have to write a paper on it this week. I think I can let it slide. Instead, now it's time to practice and then work more on theocomp, which looks to be especially assy this week because that two-hour problem was one of like three 25-pointers on there.

Hopefully we can get together a Tuesday afternoon theocomp homework group which will help SO MUCH.

A little worried about our phone conference tomorrow. Do we have a conference room reserved? Prof. Thom neglected to tell us that she wouldn't be there (:P :P :P). Also, I wanted to go to people's office hours to ask for recommendation letters tomorrow between 3 and 4, and our conf. call is at 4:00.

Wah, too much stuff to do! At least I got a little window shopping in this weekend when we went to buy Ben some new shoes.

Note to self: order sheet music for Tzigane.

You're playing "Tzigane?" By Ravel, right? I love that piece! We played it in youth symphony ages ago with the violin coach, and she wore the most scandalous dress! It was bright blue and sparkly, and didn't cover all that much of her.
