the problem with facebook's "like" feature...

...is that you get stuff like this:

I think the reason there's no "dislike" is to prevent "mean" behavior, except stuff like this can happen:

"Jennifer Jones is sad because her mom died" – 2 people like this
"Bob and Mary are no longer listed in a relationship" – 8 people like this
"Dave Smith lost his job" – 3 people like this

CNN.com had a 'watch' link on headlines for a while that linked to the video.

I lead to crazy things like '5 boy scouts electrocuted. watch'. I have a screen shot of that somewhere.

This reminds me of the specialness that is certain Google AdSense results... I think the worst of those was when I was looking at a page on concussions at the Mayo Clinic website. Actually, it looks like the same sorts of ads are still coming up:
