I am, in a way, kinda flummoxed about the positive reviews the movie is getting even from hardcore comics fans. I mean, I've been a big dork recently, and I read Year One and all those seminal comics and got on my canon and was excited about how this movie is supposedly close to the dark heart of the original -- and then I hear this stuff about secret Asian fighting schools and Bruce Wayne throwing himself into pits of criminals and stuff?
It's good that you liked it, though. The animated Batman cartoon was the best, dammit, and I'll fight all who disagree.
