more on the dark is rising

Words cannot express how angry I am about this. OK, here is the worst part, from an interview with the actor who plays Merriman, when they asked him about the book: "I know they sold a few copies, but I couldn't read it very well. It's really dense. It's from the 70s, you know?"
*headdesk* OK, the first time I read it I had to have my mom read it to me because I was 8 years old and I couldn't read the tiny print. But come ON, this is a kid's book, and it has nothing to do with the 70s, and if I could read the whole series when I was 11 then I am shocked that the actor playing one of the major characters couldn't manage to make it through them. He must be really stupid. Maybe he can't read and is embarrassed about it.
