hack hack, cough cough

The sky looks really weird right now -- half of it is nice and clear and blue, and the other half is full of dark reddish smoke. It's really kind of disturbing. It's kind of annoying because I'd like to sit outside and do work, but the air is really bad, so I'm staying in my room. Staying in here is making me sleepy because that darn tree still hasn't been trimmed and is blocking my natural light.

I tried to do my theocomp homework. I almost got one of the three problems . . . it's annoying now though because there's just one little thing that is screwing me up and I don't know how to fix it. The other two I guess I'll just have to think about for a while

I think I'm going to practice now and then do some hum reading. Ben is coming today, I hope he gets here soon!

Why am I so sleepy?? I really need more light in here. I wish I could sit outside! I heard they're getting ashes and smoke as far west as Hollywood. Hopefully this fire won't go on too long, because I really won't be able to bike back from Japanese with this much smoke. Maybe I'll just walk.

On a completely unrelated note, I am now awesome at parallel parking. It took me three years, but now I'm good at it! Not perfect, no, but at least I can get into a space and get close to the curb without going back a forth a million times. :)
