augh!

I hate it when a normal every day word suddenly looks like I'm spelling it horribly wrong! Today the word is "class" . . . I know I'm spalling it right, but the c next to the l looks soooooo strange!

So, for Japanese class, we're supposed to think of kanji for our name. I'm a little stuck, because there are no kanji pronounced "je." However, there are "ji" and "e" kanji, so I guess I can combine those. The problem is that while I was frantically copying down the assignment, I forgot to write down if it's due tomorrow or Thursday. Oops! I guess it's time to find someone from class . . .

That and stupid CIS. Stupid stupid CIS. What the hell is up with their new server? I'm like, look, I can't log in from my dorm room. They're like, oh, we don't support Windows 98 anymore. WTF? Screw that! I'm thinking more and more that I'm going to buy that powerbook, if only so that I can use stupid powerpoint from my room instead of the LAC lab. What makes it worse is that I have powerpoint on my computer, but it's an old version and can't open the presentation I created with a newer version. Suck suck suck. Sucky CIS. Argh! I really didn't want to spend my whole semester in the LAC lab this year . . .

You'd think the first day's Japanese homework would be really easy. Unfortunately, it's near impossible to find kanji for Jessica. I can be "road bay deer" or "ear picture deer" or "spoon bay deer" . . . I'm leaning towards saying that "shika-chan" is a nickname for "jeshika" just so that I can make this easy ("shika" = deer, according to my kanji books).

Sucky suck suck. I wish I knew more people in this class (by "know" I mean know well enough to find them and ask for help).
