It is raining outside. There were severe thunderstorms in the Antelope Valley yesterday. People are getting drenched in Temecula, and a kid got hit by lightning in Long Beach. Wind knocked over trees and power lines in NE Los Angeles, and many people have been without power since last night.

This so *SO* not Los Angeles July weather. Who swapped our weather for the midwest/east coast? I appreciate a little alleviation of the heat, but this is ridiculous.

Seriously though, this weather is actually pretty cool. If it keeps going for more than a few more days though, it will be decidedly not cool. I like thunderstorms, but only because I don't see them very often. I don't get to see this much though because I'm stuck in a windowless lab writing a final report. :P
