what's up with the CS department?
Apr. 6th, 2003 04:26 pmSo, I'm looking at the CS courses for next semester and found some interesting things.
CS80 is now CS81, apparently. Also, there is no CS110, but there is "Computer Systems," CS105, with lab. According to the CS department website, students take "five courses in the key areas of computer science (algorithms, programming languages, computer architecture, operating systems, and software development)" and can take electives (including mathematical logic).
Does this mean that they got rid of the CS80 requirement and split ArchOS into two courses? I'm seeing "computer systems" on there but I'm not seeing any computer architecture classes offered. Hmmmmm . . . Also, if any of you were looking at the options for who to take classes from, the new Pomona prof (Chen) is offering algorithms as well as Prof. Thom here. Too bad for me only Bull is offering theocomp.
