is it working already?

I know three days is really not enough time for the new thyroid medicine to be affecting anything, but I am not freezing cold. For the past four weeks or so, I did not take my coat off at work, and I occasionally wore two sweaters underneath my coat and drank hot tea to stay warm. Today, I am wearing two sweaters, NO COAT, no tea, and my back is getting sweaty. My toes are still cold though. So either something is happening inside my body, or someone adjusted the thermostat in here (highly unlikely, I just peeked and it says 71).

Edit - okay, I spoke too soon, I'm cold now. :P

help me find the map of the valley I'm looking for . . .

I am looking for a map that will show this except will also show me which streets are where. Basically I'm looking for a map of the boundaries of all the towns within the San Fernando Valley. Google is not helping me! It's hard because you can't look up "city limits" as they are all part of the city of Los Angeles.

Mostly I'm curious because wikipedia says my local elementary school (a very short walk from my parents' house) serves West Hills, but my parents' house is in Woodland Hills and was previously in Canoga Park. If you look at that map I linked to, you will see a teeny square of Woodland Hills jutting into western Canoga Park -- that's where they live.

Incidentally, I found an interesting blog entry about the valley here. It is true that people from the valley don't generally say "I'm from LA" until moving out of the state. I always said I was from Canoga Park. Nowadays I say I'm from LA because people would be like "Canoga what?"

Can you tell I'm looking forward to going home next week? Maybe now that all this wedding business is done we'll be able to use vacation time to go back to LA twice a year instead of just once. I need an infusion of SoCal to get me through the Indiana winter!
